Privacy and Client Confidentiality

1. The PCKen client database is secure and never shared with other entities.
2. There is no subcontracting of our work, nor are accounts sold to a third party.
3. PCKen may inadvertently observe personal data during the course of servicing a computer system.
4. Please remove any personal or private files you do not want others to see.
5. Most computers infested with viruses are also found to have pornography, unauthorized P2P downloads, and/or other “sensitive” internet downloads from nefarious sources.
6. There is never a judgmental position on the part of PCKen if these are discovered, but the Client will be advised if indeed these were the source for virus or other damage to the system.
7. However, by law, PCKen must report to the authorities any discovery of Child Pornography to the police.

Limited Liability

1. Any time a computer is accessed, there is risk of damage including, but not limited to, permanent loss of data or programs, and total loss of function of the computer.
2. This risk is increased when the computer has been infected with viruses, worms, or other malicious software. PCKen's liability for damage to your computer is limited only to any damage which is determined to be caused by PCKen’s negligent acts or negligent omissions.
3. The liability for repairs is limited to the total price of the repairs.
4. Be aware that certain repairs, including but not limited to virus and spyware removal, may damage software and/or data installed on your computer. This is to be expected and may require the re-installation of your operating system, programs, and data at an additional cost.

Abandonment or Storage

1. Equipment not picked up 14 days after Client has been notified to pick up will be considered abandoned and disposed of thru PCKen’s Recycling Program, unless arrangements are made.
2. Arrangements can be made for storing equipment with a signed agreement between Client and PCKen, and will be charged a prepaid weekly rate with two weeks minimum charge.

Service Charges and Payment

1. Service is billed according to established current rates.
2. Parts are billed according to verbal agreement between Client and PCKen.
3. Payment is due at time of service, unless commercial credit application has been approved.
4. Equipment is returned to Client only upon full payment.

Authorization to perform repairs

1. Service is billed according to established current rates, parts are billed according to verbal agreement, and equipment is returned to client only upon full payment.
2. Equipment not picked up 14 days after client has been notified will be considered abandoned and disposed of thru PCKen’s Recycling Program.
3. Client holds PCKen harmless for any damage/loss to data, hardware, or software in the process of this service.
